Wrapping Up Issue #1

by Howard Silverman

Thanks for joining P&P in this look at resilience thinking and related ideas. Perspectives and media are collected in the issue #1 archive.

With issue #2, we explore social, ethical, psychological and economic approaches to climate change. Please check back here tomorrow. As I've heard it said: climate change changes everything.

  • Thank you

Thanks so much for the issue #1 archive. I appreciate having all this material in one place.

While I've been a fairly regular P&P reader, I see now there are pieces I've missed or will want to reread as time permits.

Issue #2 is very timely. Some years ago when I heard Bill McKibben say that global warming is a moral issue as weighty as civil rights, that comparison seemed like a rhetorical stretch. It doesn't anymore.

Climate change is the game-changer. Either we make all the necessary transitions to a low-carbon world by 2050 or so or it may be Game Over.

Thanks again for P&P and the ideas that connect us. It's a very rich resource that provokes deeper thinking. Kudos.

  • I echo the previous comment: fantastic first issue! It's great to be able to look at all the content from the issue in one place, as there are certainly important pieces I missed along the way.

    Looking forward to Issue 2!
