Noel Lyman tries to keep cool during Saint Paul's 19th day above 90 degrees in 2007. Elderly, low income, and socially isolated individuals are amongst the most vulnerable to heat waves, which will likely increase in number, intensity and duration by the end of this century.
Although climate change is a global problem, every community has a local story. The Facing Climate Change project tells these stories, through photographs by Benjamin Drummond and writing by Sara Joy Steele.
